LocateWare RFID Parking Access Control Software

Parking lots are a common example of applications requiring access control. GAO RFID's parking control system, featuring LocateWare™ - Windows™ based software, is a flexible, low maintenance solution offering effective and intelligent RFID technology to reduce costs while increasing efficiency and security. Reader & Gate Information

The Reader and Gate Management screen allows for the input, editing and deletion of all basic information required for readers and antennae. For readers this includes code, name, make, model and IP address. For antennae the information consists of name, reader, port number and direction (in or out).
A reader's antenna is designated as IN or OUT to capture direction of motion to indicate entry or exit. Whenever a tagged vehicle passes by a reader the record will be updated accordingly

RFID Tag Management

The Tag Management screen is an editable database of valid tags containing the following information: tag ID, tag issuance and expiry dates, description, holder, and holder's phone number, address and e-mail.

Reports & Queries

A wide variety of database inquiries and business reports can be generated for management purposes.
Query selection includes tags, tag events by tag ID and tag events by gate. A tag query is used to present basic information, such as tag holder status and description. Tag events by tag id are used to inquire about the history of a specific tag. A user need simply type in a tag ID along with the time period they wish to review. Tag events by gate lets you inquire about all tag activity with respect to a specific gate stored here.
Report selection includes tag, gate group definition, tag history, gate history, tags on-site and delinquents. Tag and Gate Group Definition allows for the classification of tags or gates into groups. Tag Group Definition item allows for the definition, editing or deletion of Tag Groups. Deletion is accomplished using the ˇ°Undefineˇ± button, which allows one to delete a whole group's contents. The ˇ°listˇ± option allows the user to view all tags. To view one tag's specific history simply double click ˇ°tag ID.ˇ± In Gate Group definition the ˇ°Gate Inclusionˇ± function allows you to add or delete gates from your selected group. History options are also available for both records for both tags and gates. You can review a particular tag's history by including the tag ID in the filter settings. Tags On-Site allows you to view all tags records which have already passed through a defined gate group. Delinquents refer to a customizable preset time limit for vehicle dwell time on site.

Configuration

Configuration is used to set up proper values for normal operation. It is divided into two categories: Readers and Other items. For Readers, choose an available communication port. Tag Polling Interval sets the inspection frequency. Other items is used to set the maximum number of the tags and maximum number of the tag events.

User accounts

User accounts allow one to authenticate system services. It also provides one with the opportunity to be authorized to access them. However, authentication does not imply authorization. Once the user has logged in, the system will use an identifier such as an integer to refer to them, rather than their username. Users need to identify themselves for the purposes of accounting, security, logging and resource management. With this function you can define privileges and operating specifications. User accounts are classified as general user or administrator. Authorization is only set by administrators. Role is a kind of management which can be used to assign role privileges. Click the button "privileges" you can choose which privileges you want to put into roles. There are five kinds of business management roles.
