Toronto, Canada–GAO RFID Inc has launched its 13.56MHz RFID reader/writer which is equipped with an LCD screen and an integrated keypad. This RFID reader/writer uses advanced MIFARE and ISO 15693 contactless RFID technologies to enhance collection of information associated with RFID cardholders.
This high frequency RFID reader/writer, model 233005B, offers a maximum read and write distance of 8cm when complemented with ISO14443A compliant transponders. This reader features a 32-bit ARM processor, an embedded MODEM, RFID modules and an internal thermal printer. It operates at a baud rate of 19,200bps and reads type 1 smart cards and double SAM cards. With an IP40 protection rating, it is resistant to water and dust which ensures its high performance even in harsh environments.
