Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched this low frequency handheld reader which is specially used in pet tracking. It is convenient pocket size, light weight and one button operation design makes it preferred device for veterinarians. The RFID reader can be used to read the electronic data on any pet equipped with an electronic RFID chip.
This 134.2kHz handheld RFID reader, model 222005, consumes little power: less than 2W in reading state and has a memory capacity of 256Kbit. The reader provides FDX-B communication and is strictly complaint with ISO11784/11785 deployment standard. It is capable of a read range reaching up to 40mm and can identify a tag within one second. This high frequency RFID reader supports either 9V Alkali battery or a direct current stabilized voltage power supply and uses RS232 interface for data exchange.
