Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched its high performance contactless high frequency (HF) RFID reader/writer, compliant with both CE and FCC standards. It is specially designed for RFID identification with associated data input such as end-user sales information at a POS terminal. The RFID reader/writer utilizes advanced MIFARE I contact-less RFID technology to enhance collection of information associate with RFID cardholders. It is commonly used in retail stores, libraries, and any point of sale application.
This 13.56MHz RFID reader/writer, model 233005, offers a read distance of up to 8cm with ISO 14443A compliant transponders. It features an integrated keyboard and an embedded MODEM, which allows data exchange through a standard POTs telephone line to a central computer. With an IP40 protection rating, this RFID reader/writer is waterproof and dustproof and can be used in harsh environments. The RFID read/write unit has a high baud rate of 19,200bps. This reader/writer supports RS232, RS485 and TCP/IP data transfer.
