Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched this 8-Port smart UHF RFID reader embedded with an Impinj R2000 “Indy” reader chip. It utilizes carrier cancellation technology and provides unmatched read accuracy, reliability and range. This Gen 2 RFID reader is designed to read and program any EPC class 1 Gen 2 tag and send event reports to a host computer system.
This smart Intel ATOM CPU based RFID reader, model 216017, is compliant with EPC Class 1 Gen 2 Dense Reader mode (DRM) ISO 18000-6C standard and is equipped with 8 SMA RF antenna ports that support up to 8 mono-static antennas or 4 pairs of bi-static antennas. The antenna panel contains eight coax antenna connector ports. It provides GPIO with 8 inputs and 8 outputs, an ample 1 G memory, and data communications through 10/100 Base-T RJ45, USB and RS232 ports. This 8-port Gen 2 RFID reader includes diagnostic LEDs on the face of the reader to provide easy and convenient external indication for various operating conditions. It is capable of directly monitoring and controlling presence detectors. With the powerful combination of an Intel ATOM N270 1.6 GHz CPU and up to 1 GB memory, the UHF Gen 2 RFID reader is the smartest RFID reader available, capable of running complex RFID application, delivering fast processing and intelligent localization.
