Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. is offering its highly flexible UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer which is designed for enterprise-class management and monitoring. It delivers increased application flexibility via new features such as support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies deployment and dramatically reduces cost by eliminating the need for AC outlet installation at read points. The reader/writer enables a wider range of installation options with its compact form factor. It belongs to GAO’s RFID Readers – Gen 2 EPC (UHF) family of products and can work with GAO’s RFID Tags – Gen 2 EPC (UHF).
This UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer, model 236015, offers four selectable mono-static antenna ports optimized for Impinj reader antennae (RP TNC). It automatically senses environment and configures setting for the best performance. It interfaces with industry-leading software vendor applications and provides EPC Global Low Level Reader Protocol (LLRP) v1.0.1. This innovative RFID reader/writer enables read zone containment, eliminates stray reads and overcomes cable losses with high transmit power. It has a maximum receive sensitivity of -82 dBm and a return loss of up to 10 dB. It is compliant with ISO 18000-6C. The lightweight reader is equipped with RS232, USB and GPIO interfaces. Moreover, it has a maximum read rate of 430 tags/s and a high baud rate of 115200 bit/s.
