Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has released its high frequency desktop RFID reader/writer intended for use as either desktop reader or in embedded applications for access control or authorization and document tracking where it is required to read and write information to a limited number of stacked RFID tags. It belongs to GAO’s HF RFID Readers family of products.
This high performance desktop RFID reader/writer, model 233011, can read and write up to 20 tagged items with zero separation between tags at a distance of 0 to 110 mm depending on the tag being read. It offers a powerful processing platform allowing for a stand-alone reader which operates as a peripheral for a host computer. It provides powerful, fast operation on two reply channels at a reading speed of up to 150 tags/s. This 13.56 MHz RFID reader/writer has a command data rate of 424 kb/s and a reply data rate of 106 kb/s. The reader communicates via Ethernet or USB interface for data exchange. In addition, it is compliant with ISO/IEC 18000-3 standard and certified for use in both North America and Europe.
