16-Port UHF RFID Reader

Toronto, Canada –GAO RFID Inc. has launched its 16-port UHF RFID reader. It has fine control of RF output from the 16 ports that enables very high speed antenna switching, making it suitable for finely tuned multiport applications such as smart-shelves for retail, document control, multi-lane reading for vehicle tracking, and applications that require either continuous monitoring or periodic inventory over a large segmented space.

This UHF RFID reader, model 216020, operates over a wide variety of frequency rangesfor global deployment and provides an output power of 27 dBm at the RF connectors. It has a long read range of up to 12 meters with Dogbone tags and a maximum read rate of up to 300 tags/s per port for selected Gen 2 profiles. This 16 port RFID reader also provides four GPIO controls: 2 general purpose input and 2 general purpose output. It is compliant with ISO18000-6C and EPC UHF Class 1 Gen 2 standards and Dense Reader Mode (DSM) is available. The UHF RFID reader is Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) enabled allowing for deployment where power is not readily accessible. It can also be connected via USB and other connectivity such as Ethernet-to-USB Bridge, Ethernet-to-WiFi Bridge and Ethernet- to-GSM/CDMA Bridge are also available. In addition, the included API provides for rapid application development reducing time to market.

UHF EPC Gen 2 RFID Web Tag

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. is offering its UHF EPC Gen 2 RFID web tag. It is ideal for clothing and footwear, retail inventory management, IT asset tracking, general asset tracking, and electronics inventory tracking.

This UHF EPC Gen 2 RFID web tag, model 116006, operates over a frequency range of 860 MHz to 960 MHz. It offers a maximum read range of up to 6 m and can be reliably read from and written to even when tags are in close proximity to each other. This small RFID web tag has a large EPC memory capacity of up to 240 bits and a user memory capacity of up to 512 bits. It is compliant with EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6C standards. In addition, it features low power consumption and excellent close coupling performance, making it ideal for use with handheld readers.

RFID Parking Control Software

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched its RFID parking control software. It is a flexible monitor/control software program designed for RFID parking control applications. This software features extremely simple installation and configuration.

This RFID parking control software offers all the common features required in parking control applications. The software features 24 hour unmanned operation which enables the parking gate to open automatically when a valid tag is presented in front of the antenna. Once the system is set up and configured, no additional user input is required. It is compatible with various kinds of GAO RFID hardware. Passive LF, HF, UHF or semi-passive and active technologies can all be flexibly used together in the same system. HF short range readers and RFID card tags can be used for “swipe card to enter” parking gates and UHF long range readers and windshield sticker tags can be used for fully automatic parking gates. The software system is able to specify the day and time values during which a group of tag holders can enter a parking zone. It also features real-time monitoring which allows the system administrator to monitor all parking gate activity on the desktop in real time. Moreover, this software offers customizable reports and access history logs are stored in the system and reports can be generated by specifying different criteria such as dates, times, zones or group names.

Active RFID Sensor Control Management Software

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched its active RFID sensor control management software. It is a desktop application specifically designed for GAO’s 2.45 GHz active readers and tags. This software provides a generalized software solution suitable for various RFID applications.

This active RFID sensor control management software, model 617006, supports all features of GAO’s 2.45 GHz tags such as temperature measurement, vibration and movement detection, tamper proofing, emergency or panic calling and beaconing. This RFID sensor control management software features real-time monitoring which allows all the tags to be monitored in real time. It provides customizable alerts which allows users to configure a set of alert conditions such as temperature above/below certain threshold, tag moved, tag leaving reading range, tag removed from asset and more. When an alert condition is met, the corresponding tag is highlighted on the screen, an alert message is shown to the user and an alarm sound is played. Moreover, this software also offers customizable reporting and allows users to select the types of tags to be processed in the system through the interface.

RFID Enabled Parking Barrier Gate

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched its RFID enabled parking barrier gate which is a heavy-duty, high performance barrier gate designed to be used in conjunction with other GAO RFID hardware and LocateWare™ RFID Parking Control Software to provide a complete RFID enabled parking solution. It is typically utilized for medium to high traffic volumes and is ideally suited for wide lane management.

This high performance RFID enabled parking barrier gate, model 410004, has a built-in frequency-converter ensuring progressive accelerations and controlled decelerations for a vibration-free movement and enhanced protection of the mechanism. It controls vehicle access for 10 to 20 foot lanes with a high reliability. It also provides a quick response time and fully opens in one to four seconds depending on the length of the arm. 125 kHz Long Range RFID Reader

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has launched its 125 kHz long range RFID reader. It is specially designed for applications such as access control, parking control, item management tracking and any applications requiring long-range reading.

This long range RFID reader, model 211016, features a compact size and provides a long read range of up to 60 cm with ISO cards in ideal conditions. It has an auto tuning function to automatically adjust for optimal tag reading. The RFID reader also features relay control and can be configured to provide many interface formats including Wiegand, MSR ABA Track2, RS232, RS485 and serial ASCII output. Its maximum power switched by relay control is up to 24 V / 2 A. In addition, when powered on, this RFID reader is able to adjust the read distance according to different environments automatically.

13.56 MHz PDA Based RFID Reader/Writer

Toronto, Canada –GAO RFID Inc. has launched its 13.56 MHz PDA based RFID reader/writer with built-in antenna and a rugged design. It is designed for use in industrial and outdoor environments. It is ideal for field service, direct store delivery, retail, warehouse and manufacturing applications. This rugged RFID reader/writer can be used as a handheld device for information collection and management.

This HF portable RFID reader/writer, model 243002, offers GPRS for data transfer. It reads RFID transponders compliant with ISO 15693 and ISO 14443 A/B standards at a maximum distance of 8 cm depending on the tag. The rugged PDA has an LCD touch screen, 22 key interface, audio output, SD slot, IC card slot, contactless HF RFID, GPRS (900/1800/1900 MHz) and Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
