UHF RFID Reader Series with Digitally Adjustable Transmission Power

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. recommends this long-range semi passive RFID reader series which efficiently communicates with rapidly moving tags due to the high transmission rates they achieve. They feature digitally adjustable transmission power, reliable data collection and a maximum transmission rate of 100tags/s. The technologically advanced UHF RFID reader series is an ideal solution for the identification, tracking and tracing, and location of assets and personnel in wireless environments.

This ultra high frequency RFID reader series, model 227004, is equipped with RS422 and RS485 interfaces allowing it to be connected to a host for data transmission. The RFID readers are able to identify up to 2000 tags simultaneously at distances of up to 100 meters. Each reader has digitally adjustable sensitivity levels of -85dBm (high sensitivity) and -55dBm (normal sensitivity). Ethernet and WLAN host Interfaces are also offered as options. This reader series offers five LEDs for ANT1, ANT2, RUN, BUS and ERR. This reader series can be used with GAO RFID Inc.’s 137001, 137003 and 137004 tags.

Gen2 Passive RFID Tag Suitable for Returnable Transit Items Tracking

Toronto, CanadaGAO RFID Inc.has announced the release of this compact 865 to 928MHz Gen 2 passive RFID tag which can be easily attached to an item by adhesive, magnetic tape or cable. It is especially suitable for IT asset tracking as the sleek form factor of the passive tag fits well in the limited, exposed areas of enterprise IT servers and equipment. It is also ideal for returnable transit items such as pallets, bins and totes in warehouse management applications.

This compact Gen 2 passive RFID tag, model 116405 is RoHS compliant and supports the EPC Class 1 Gen 2 communication protocol. The passive RFID tag has a lightweight and durable housing with industry leading on-metal performance and offers a read range of four to five meters.  Encapsulated within an ABS/PC plastic case, the Gen 2 RFID tag withstands a maximum high temperature of 85°C. High Frequency RFID Reader/Writer with LCD Display and Keypad

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has announced the release of its 13.56MHz RFID reader/writer with an LCD screen and an integrated keypad. This RFID reader/writer utilizes advanced MIFARE and ISO 15693 contactless RFID technologies to enhance collection of information associated with RFID cardholders. The reader/writer is developed for RFID identification and associated data input such as end-user sales information at a POS. It features a 32-bit ARM processor, an embedded MODEM, RFID modules and an internal thermal printer.

This high frequency RFID reader/writer, model 233005B, has a maximum reading and writing distance of 8cm when working with ISO14443A compliant transponders. It operates at a baud rate of 19,200bps and supports type 1 smart cards and double SAM cards. This read/write unit allows data exchange via RS232 serial port and a standard POTs telephone line to a central computer. It is resistant to water and dust with an IP40 protection rating ensuring performance even in harsh environments.

Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) Gen 2 Soft Laundry Tag

Toronto, CanadaGAO RFID Inc. has added this ultra high frequency Gen 2 soft laundry tag to its popular product line. It meets the extreme demands of rotary ironing and can be fixed onto any fabric using a regular heat sealing machine. The RFID tag contains a transponder chip compliant with the international ISO 18000-6C standard. This Gen 2 laundry tag is specially developed for the sheet laundry and clothing markets.

This UHF Gen 2 soft laundry tag, model 116417, operates in the frequency range of 802MHz to 928MHz for American use and 865MHz to 868MHz for Europe. The tag has a 96bit EPC memory and offers a long read range of up to 5 meters for dry laundry and about 2 meters for wet cleaning. EEncapsulated within a flexible textile material, the RFID tag offers good resistance against high temperatures (tunnel finisher) and the harsh conditions of various cleaning methods such as the dry cleaning processes.

13.56MHz Thin RFID Card Incorporates M1 F08 IC Inlay

This high frequency RFID card is an ideal solution for access control and can be used for tracking or authentification of individuals for access to equipment like a computer terminal.

The EPC (electronic product code) RFID card, model 113311, replaces magnetic stripe cards and needs only to be held within a certain distance of the reader to authenticate the card holder. 433MHz Active RFID Tag

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has announced the release of its 433MHz active RFID tag which is an ideal tool for access control and tracking of assets and personnel. The “Jumbo” tag contains an LED and buzzer to conveniently find tagged items or alert tag wearers.

This low power consuming RFID tag, model 127008, comes with several options including operating frequency, a bracket, LED, buzzer, and user memory. It operates at dual-frequencies to receive and transmit tag data allowing for fast and reliable communications. The UHF RFID tag automatically wakes up on receiving a command from an RFID reader and then transmits its ID and other information. Using a unique anti-collision algorithm, the tag ensures all tag data will be received even when many tags are transmitting simultaneously. With an optional bracket, the RFID tag can be mounted to any asset with a flat surface, and it can also be easily attached to items via the slotted hole near one of its ends.

Gen 2 Passive RFID Laundry Tag Can Be Read and Written To

The passive RFID laundry tag, model 116413, can be both read and written to. It supports multi-detection and has a flexible read/write range from 0.5m to 1.5m depending on the reader. This RFID laundry tag features non-line-of-sight data transmission which allows it to be identified without the need for visual contact. It is eEncapsulated within sealed PPS and epoxy materials that enables the tag to withstand harsh conditions of various cleaning methods (dry cleaning processes).

Semi-Passive RFID Response Tag Series

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. has recently released these semi-passive RFID response tags operating in the ISM frequency band of 868MHz for European use or 915MHz for North America. Using ultra-high frequency (UHF) technology, the tags communicate with either a handheld or fixed RFID reader from a distance of up to six meters. These RFID response tags are compatible with GAO RFID Inc.’s UHF RFID interrogator PC card (227001) and UHF RFID reader (227003). They offer real-time data collection for the identification, tracking, and location of assets or people.

This economical semi-passive RFID response tag series, model 137005, consumes little power enabling more than six years effective operation without battery replacement. They provide an optional LED for visual identification and a 64-byte data memory to store user and configuration information. Designed with an advanced anti-collision multi-tag-handling algorithm, this tag series allows for up to 2000 simultaneous tag identifications at a rate of 100tag/s. In addition, the RFID response tags are finished with a variety of packagings and industrial housings so that they can perform well even under harsh environments.

Gen2 RFID Tire Tag Withstands High Temperature

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc.has released its Gen 2 RFID Tire tag which survives the high temperatures encountered in the tire curving process. The tag is embedded into the tire mould prior to the manufacture and curing of the tire, so that the tire can be tracked electronically. The highly robust RFID tag has a flexible construction enabling it to withstand tire deformation. It can be built into a truck tire which can be recapped several times. This RFID tag supports read distances of up to 1m when embedded into the tire.

The Gen 2 RFID tire tag, model 116043, operates in 860 to 950MHz frequency band for worldwide use and conforms to ISO 16000-6C or EPC class 1 Gen 2 standards. It boasts factory programmed tag identification number to prevent cloning. This practical tire tag uses 96-bit programmable EPC number and 192bit user memory with lock capability. The tag is sturdy enough to be operational throughout the duration of the tire’s life span.
