RFID Forum
Ed Rucels, the speaker at GAO RFID's latest RFID Forum, which took place October 24 & 25 at Toronto's Design Exchange, covered many of the different ways RFID is being used by a variety of financial enterprises.
Topics discussed included asset management and how RFID has added visibility to the asset management process. There is a growing trend to manage the movement of sensitive assets such as PCs to the protection of other valuable assets such as works of art within an organization. RFID is being used to identify critical assets in computer rooms as well as authenticating and tracking critical documents. Security is an ongoing concern and RFID is being used to control and monitor access within sensitive areas. This informative session covered several emerging RFID trends.
